Inner space can feel like a void, but physically it is densely packed. Medicalized diagnostic imaging technologies such as x-ray, ultrasound, CT scan, and MRI provide access to corporeal images and data previously unintelligible to human perception. This data is often presented as a glimpse into objective reality. But even seeing a true image of one’s own organs, does one see oneself? Where does one look to find pieces of oneself?
